About us

Crispin Hills established Perigord Renovation near Brantome in the Perigord Vert in 2003, having originally been based in London for 12 years working on luxury apartments and town house renovations in Holland Park and Kensington as a carpenter and site manager.

Being bi-lingual and having previously lived and worked in Paris, Crispin decided to move with his young family to the beautiful Dordogne region of France where spending 2 years renovating his own property before setting up Perigord Renovation in 2003.

Starting on small local projects his reputation as a reliable builder with attention to detail and high quality work soon spread and his original team of 2 grew to 5 fully registered building professionals working together.

Perigord Renovation has a client base of both English and French customers projects large and small, residential and commercial, modern and traditional.

 

Recent projects

Recent work demonstrates our wide range of skills and services -

Addition of home office space and store rooms for the owners of an 18th century Chateau sympathetically created within the outbuildings.

Renovation of a three storey village house with the addition of oak joists, chestnut hardwood flooring and the creation of 2 new bedrooms connected by a spiral staircase.

Renovation of a large 4 storey corner building in the Place du Marche in Thivers into a large investment property comprising 4 rental apartments and a shop. Complete project management, negotiating with Batiment de France, EDF, Gaz de France, Sogedo and the Mairie. At one stage including coordinating between all the above parties for the closure of central Thivers to upgrade the services to the building.

Drainage repairs for a local client whose kitchen flooded every time it rained.
